"Personal Time"
I'm a big beliver in taking "well days". We get so many sick days to use, that to be honest, if anyone was actually sick that much during one year... well.... they probably should not be working. So on Wednesday, Brad and I both called in "sick". We rarely get to see each other anymore, with the hours I'm working and all. In the case it is my weekend off, well, that's when we schedule all of our friends and family time. So we decided to spend a day together just because.
It was wonderful. We slept in, we went shopping for a bridal shower present for Kelly and Steve, found a great outfit for me to wear to their wedding, and ate at Olga's for lunch. The best part was napping. Nothing was on our agenda. We didn't do a lick of housework (which is normally first on our list of to do's). It was just a very very nice day of nothing. Its days like that that me so very happy to have him in my life.
Side story: Friday night me and 4 of my friends went bowling for Big Brothers Big Sisters. My friend Annie (who is only 20 brought her new boyfriend Jason along). It was the first time I met him. He looks just like Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block. I tell Annie this, her reply: "Joey who?" I proceed to tell her from NKOTB, and she goes "yeah, that means nothing to me." OH MY! I guess that's what i get for having young friends. For all of you that thought I was crazy for being upset about turning 26, yeah, there's my reason. However, all my older friends are all either trying or having kids. I'll take this in-between time for what it is. I'm sure it will all change soon.
