My Weekend Off

My job is very difficult. I work at a bank branch that is open saturday until 9pm, sunday from 10-5pm, and holidays... but i love it there. However, friday was my 9th day in a row of working. So having this whole weekend off was HUGE for me. Especially since last monday was my husband's birthday and i spent ALL weekend working...

So... Friday we went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Union station to see a band Lost Parade play. They are soooo great. Please visit the website. www.lostparade.com. They are sooo going to make it. My friend sarah is kinda "seeing" the bass guitarist. I've now been to 3 of their performances so i guess i'm a "groupie". We were there until 2am. Two other bands played, but they were horrible so i won't even mention who they were. Though i do have to say... the prices were OUTRAGEOUS! $4.50 for a bud light....

Saturday: my husband and i met my parents for luncher (it was 3:30pm) at a mangolian/chinese dinner type place for Brad's birthday. Of which he received a gift card to Sports Authority from his in laws and sister in law. He LOVED it. My mom also showed me pics of my parents new puppy ( a cocker spaniel) that i honestly fell in love with with the puppy. I already have 2 princesses, but after seeing her pics i want a new puppy... my mom says that i want a baby.. but thats not it all. I love my puppies... i don't want (or need) a baby.

Later that evening we went bowling in South County with 3 other couples. I was NOT looking forward to bowling but brad wanted to, so i agreed. Well... After 2 rounds us girls got bored and did "crazy bowling"... i laughed so hard for an hour straight.... it was sooo much fun. On the 4th round... Brad bowled a 209!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today he watched bowling on ESPN2 for an hour straight and was making fun of the professional bowlers saying he could do it better. LOL!!

Sunday:
I watched the first episode of "The L Word" for seasion 2. If you have never seen it... it is soooo good. Its all about lesbians (sorry sis) but it is such good writing, i find myself captivated by each and every character, which since Dawson's Creek has gone off the air, i havent' found for a long time. Probably b/c i just watch reality tv now...

We had kickball practice today. Yes, Brad and i play kickball... though its much more difficult than you remember from gradeschool. Thats why we had to practice... I wore my hot pink pants to practice in.. (they laugh, but i know they are jealous)

And this evening... It was Oscar night. I love the Oscars. Always have. Yet seriously, every year, brad gets confused. He's all.... "what are we doing" and i say watching the Oscars". He wants the Simpons, but for one night a year, i get to watch Hollywood be Hollywood. I just have to say that Chris Rock.. well.. Rocked. He was so good. I know that i'm jealous and would like to be an actress in Hllywood.. but my husband doesnt.

i need to go now b/c brad is leaving in the morning to go back to DC.
I don't think he is going to get the Indonesia job :(

Have you seen the show before??

Survivor is one of my favorite shows of all time. I've seen every episode of every season. But tonight, i was really disappointed...

The people on this season are just plain stupid.
Ok, so the guy and the girl are "hooking up" already.... could they not even wait 2 weeks??? It took them 4 days, 4 DAYS! I know girls that have met boys in bars and still waited longer, and they aren't playing a game for a million dollars! And for them to go to tribal council and say its not a threat, no one should be worried... I call B.S! Have THEY never seen the show before? And one last thing, i'm not a skinny girl by any means, and i realize no swimsuit ever looks "good" on me, but seriously (girl w/ tatoos, its still too early to learn names) a string bikini bottom? really?? and keep your boobs inside. I don't think there was ever a time tonight when they didn't have to blur you out. I'll keep watching, mostly just because i really want to beat my husband in Fantasy Survivor like i did in Fantasy Football....

By the way... I'm seriously addicted to reality shows, have been for several years now. Yes, I'm the reason they keep making new ones.

However, next week Amazing Race starts. For those who haven't watched it before, please do. I don't think i have ever watched an episode without crying. Its a good geography lesson too. And its nice b/c at least once each season, i get to see a place my sis has lived in :)

I'll try this again....

I never even knew there was this whole blog world (i have my sister "strawberryblondesrus" to thank for the awareness)... but its rather addicting. Seeing as how I like to complain and well, talk about myself alot, I figured it was time to go public. And I apologize in advance for future ramblings... i know i can be a little melodramatic, or so they tell me. Well... Enjoy!

side note: i just found out my husband might be going to Indonesia to work for 6 weeks... why does everyone i love move far far away from me? Can't you all just stay in the states????

Thanks Sis!
