Dog Days of Summer

It was only the 2nd time this year of getting to take the Mayflower out. This past weekend we only had a few friends that wanted to go... so being the good mother that I am, I suggested we take Mattey.

Our dog LOVES the water. It cracked us all up because she would walk down the steps to get into the lake, but wouldn't jump in, unless of course Brad or I did so first. She did so great.

Up until Brad decided to take her on the jet ski (DINK). She loved every minute of it. Which was actually a huge pain b/c after her ride, she couldn't see a jet ski coming or going without barking and trying to get on it, and we had 2 of them out there.

Even at the end of the day, she wanted so bad to in the lake with us and actually fell asleep on her "raft". She's cute. It wore her out. It was a great day for the Pauley family.

However, the list of words to not say around Mattey include:

Hot Dog, leash, car ride, cat, kitty cat, bunny

and now: jet ski-thanks Brad.

That's how much I've lost in past 11 weeks of being on Jenny Craig. It has actually been pretty easy to be on the diet. However, I was becoming a bit discouraged because I feel like it has been slow progress (I'm impatient and want to be skinny NOW).

However, Brad and I went to Cards game on Thursday night for a friend's birthday. We happen to have taken almost the exact same picture as we did when we went to the Cubs game in May.

Looking at the difference in the 2 pictures has made me more excited than anyone could possibly know. Or at least in my mind there is a big difference. Brad has lost weight too (nearly 30lbs and is almost at his goal...however this is about me, not him:) View for yourself:
