Blog more, eat less!

So as much as I hate New Year resolutions, I do realize that I should start blogging more. I always have lots to say, I'm just not sure I'm creative enough to do so. And I'm constantly on a diet, hence the title.

Ok, so today I went to a baby shower for one of my closest friends Laura. It was about an hour into the country of Illinois (our friends from STL were not happy). As much as I normally dread baby showers, this one was really nice. There was mostacolli, so it was almost like a wedding reception and NO GAMES! Aside from seeing Laura getting lots of things that I had no idea about, I also got to see our friend Ann and her baby Will. I'm so not a kid person. However, I realized I am a baby person. He's 4 months old, adorable and looks JUST like his dad.

I bet over the course of the afternoon I held him for about 2 hours. I didn't want to let him go. I am smart enough to realize though, once he started crying, the best part was giving him back to Ann. I don't know if I'll ever want one of my own, but that's not to say that I won't spoil my friend's kids to all extremes. (He made the most interesting facial expressions and I'm pretty sure we had a very serious conversation about cake).

All in all, it was a great afternoon. I can't wait to fianlly meet Ryan (Laura's son) and maybe we will even babysit.. though would I trust us with a kid... maybe not. I say i don't want kids, maybe the new boys in my life will change my mind.
