She's Home

We picked Laurie up from the airport at 2:45pm. She looked fabulous as always. She actually bought a pair of "movie star" glasses so people would think she was famous in the London Airport. (People followed her, but i'm pretty sure they were going to the same concourse as she was...). Just spending an afternoon with her was one of the most entertaining times of my life. She was in awe of tank-tops... she has alot of adjusting to do, just wait until she sees the short skirts!
The most important thing is that she is home. For a little while anyways....

The Wedding Planner

Ok, so not so much as wedding as bridal party planner. I have to brag on myself for just a moment.
My best friend Beck is getting married in July. There are 9 bridesmaids. Between work and planning the wedding, the bridesmaids hardly ever get to see her. So i came up with this brilliant idea of doing a bridal party float trip. I've been planning it since February. Seven bridesmaids and a bride-to-be going camping and floating. Oh, and did I mention the bride has no idea what is going on?
She thinks she is going to the baseball game tonight. She even thinks we are meeting up beforehand at Union Station (as we do every friday we go to the same game). Little does she know that all the bridesmaids are leaving town at 2pm today and setting up the "BECK BRIDAL EXTRAVAGANZA". Don't worry, we have cleared it with her mom and fiance to make sure no one planned anything for her all weekend.
The best part, is that I came up with clues that are being sent to her throughout the day. This morning was a pair of flip-flops, lunch is a postcard of a hotdog, then a bottle of suntan lotion, then a little cooler. All with cute little rhymes.
She has already emailed me, she thinks it is about tomorrow night (we are "supposed" to be going out for her birthday).
Anywho, its very exciting and I can't wait to see the expression on her face when she shows up tonight and its all of her girls waiting to celebrate with her.
So, if anyone needs a planner of some sort, I'm willing to provide my creativeness.... for a price of course!
All that is left to do now is pray it doesn't rain. My guess is 8 girls camping in the rain.... it might not be the best scenario.
