Tourist
Over Easter weekend our friends Bryan and Crystal drove up here to the "Windy City" to visit us. We went to the Shedd Aquarium, Ed Debevic's for lunch and then to the Sear's Tower. It was fun, but exhausting--we joked about how much time we spent waiting in lines.
I was glad I finally got to see some of the city. I also had the BEST DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MALT ever at Ed's.
It had snowed the night/day before of course (that is what it does up here). I'm excited to get back to St.Louis, but it was an experience I'm grateful to have had.

Play Ball!
March 31st, 2008. Cardinals Opening Day. Sort of.
I REALLY wanted to go to opening day. I wasn't able to go last year and something just didn't feel right. So when I was lucky enough to score tickets on-line Thursday I took that as a sign that I should be there.
I booked my flight to leave on Monday morning, land in St.Louis around 11am, then fly out Monday night around 8pm. I know, it's crazy, but it's OPENING DAY! This means baseball has offically beguan (and spring has arrived).
I have missed:
- Sea of Red
- Fred Bird
- The Cap Game
- High Fives
- Hot Dogs
- SUPER Nachos
- Pretzels (with 2 things of cheese)
- $9 Draft beer
- Ohhing, Awwing and Gasping all in unison.
What I don't miss? Rain delays. It was a great game, then it sprinkled, then it rained, then it kept raining. And... 2 hours later, the game is called-off and my flight is cancelled. I flew back to Chicago this morning and being the great friend I am, I am letting Beck and her husband go tonight. I tried. At least now my jerseys can offically become part of my wardrobe again.
