Where is my music???

Maybe its because I watch re-runs of Dawson's Creek, Ed (yes, Ed is on tv again!) and Felicity (2 episodes every night) that I find myself waiting for the music. If you have ever watched a "young" dramatic show, you will noticed that anytime something a)meaningful b) sad or
c)unexpected happens, there is some fantastic song that starts playing in the background.

Even if its just the music and no words, it MAKES the moment. Its been something I have noticed ever since Beverly Hills 90210. I remember the first time Brenda and Dylan decided not to have sex... REM's "Loosing My Religion" was playing in the background. When Pacey first realized he had an interest in Joey, "On My Own" from Les Miserables. I could name a hundred of them (I have already established before that I watch WAY to much tv).

Sometimes, I will reflect on a conversation with my friends, a moment at work, or just sitting out side reading and wonder "what would be my song?" I wish sometimes that I could have a d.j. just follow me around all day and when something of interest happens, the music would begin. Then again, I already find too much drama in my life. Guess the songs will just stay in my head.

I PASSED!!

I finally took my health insurance exam yesterday (after much anxiety) and I passed it. Thank goodness! I did not want to have to pay nor study any more. It was hard though, very hard. I think since I've been out of school I have forgotten exactly how hard it is to cram soooo much information into my head in such a short time. How did I do it for so long?? Anywho, I'm now offically licensed and can begin my new career.

A few reality show updates (I know you all have been missing these... lol):

Amazing Race: Rob and Amber. Please go away! Its so sad that you are brad's favorite team. Entertaining yes, but you don't deserve any money and you are scaring me that you are still in the race. I think they could win.
Old couple, I usually root for you, however the wife is killing me! She rode in the top of the elephant while her husband had to push her. Even after she realized she didn't need to be in the top, she stayed. Why???
Beauty queen. So incredibly mean. I don't think POW will stay with her when all is said and done.
Black couple. Still my favorites by far. The wife shaved her head this week. Bless her heart. She was so brave and strong through the whole thing. It even showed her in the car on the way to the FastForward saying that "shaving my head is my biggest fear. I don't think I could do it." The second she got there, she knew she had to and she didn't hesitate. Please, Please find a way to beat Rob and Amber.

Survivor: Tom (older fireman), I'm soooo tired of seeing him win everything. We know you are strong. We get the point. If you stay this strong, you are bound to get kicked off soon (assuming he looses an immunity challenge soon.
Stephanie... she deserves to win more than any female ever has. I know more girls have won than guys but realistically they have all gotten there by riding on the coat tails of a man. She hasn't. She is strong and smart. That's probably going to be her downfall.
Goodbye Cody. I liked you alot.

Apprentice: I'm not convinced any of them should win. However, this past week. The guys blew it BIG TIME in making a brochure for a car. Haha. You got beat by a girl.

Newlyweds: This is just gossip, but I hear Jessica cheated on Nick and now they might be getting a divorce soon. Maybe they should have kept the cameras in the house.

I'm afraid my new job is going to take alot to my t.v. time away from me. I thinking that with my first paycheck, we need to get TIVO. It just makes sense.

Exercise. Healthy or Harmful?

I don't like excerise. Never had. Yesterday Brad and I played on our kickball league (my first game in 4 weeks) and I got BURNT!! Not just a little, but alot. I try being active and that's what I get. Healthy? HA! I was much better off before.

Changing of the Shoes...

Some people go by calendars. I go by shoes. Today was my "changing of the seasons". Its the time when I go from winter to summer clothes. I'm not going to lie. Its kinda depressing. I threw out most of what I considered my "fat clothes" 2 years ago. However, I'm now finding my self back in that world. I was trying on shorts and skirts that I was hoping would fit but they don't. Brad was telling me that I can't buy anything new because I have too many clothes as it is. I then told him that I don't... (for me, this is one of my biggest defeats.) I know what do to lose weight, but I just can't seem to do it again. And it is killing me. I'm in 3 wedings this summer. That is my motivation. However, if I don't, my husband still finds me sexy and people still tell me that I'm beautiful. Maybe this year the modeling agents will discover me.. LOL! If nothing else, I still have very very sexy shoes.

To My Sister

Top 10 Things I have learned from Laurie:

10. The best way to teach somebody to ride a bike is NOT to push them down a hill.
9. You can't lie about your sister getting her arm broke while you are supposed to be babysitting her.
8. When you are 13, any night can be prom night.
7. Sometimes it is better to let highschool and highschool friends fade away.
6. Layer, Layer, Layer
5. Get used to hearing "I've been there" and to have to see the 10,000 pictures to prove it.
4. You may not have the money to shop at Banana Republic, but that's why they created "Clearance Sections".
3. The friends you make in college (although you may fight like sisters) are the ones you keep for a lifetime.
2. Ice cream/coffee/chocolate are all staples for ANY diet.

and the #1 thing I've learned....

1. YOU REALLY CAN BE 30 AND FABULOUS!! (a quote from Carrie Bradshaw 'Sex in the City')

Happy 30th birthday sis! I love you and can't wait for you to come home!!!

Ribbons Ribbons Everywhere

I realize that its human nature for people to want to show their support for good causes. However, the magnetic car ribbon craze that has taken over St. Louis has gone too far. Yesterday, on my way to work (which is only like 15 miles away) I counted 22 cars with ribbons on them. The best part was that one car had one with paw prints to support dog pounds. Another one, said "Support Austin". Who is Austin?? Is it even a person or do they mean the city in Texas. And why am I supposed to support it? I just think it has gotten way WAY out of hand. Pretty soon someone is going to create a ribbon to show your support of magentic car ribbons. Crazy. I for one will not be participating.
